Because SMS messages cost money to send, we require that our customers purchase a 'SMS Plan' that meets their needs. The plans are all month-to-month and vary based on the country of origin. You should choose based on the country of origin of a majority of your Guests.
Requirements for the SMS Module:
- Only MyPMS customers can subscribe to the SMS service.
- When the SMS Module is activated, a country code will be required for all Guest's mobile numbers entered into a Booking (on the Booking Data tab). It is not required that a mobuile number be provided for all bookings. But if one is, it must have the country code selected.
- BookingCenter assumes that the country of your property is the 'default' country code for your mobile phone numbers, if one is not selected.

SMS Module Pricing
1 SMS Message = 1 Segment billed as one "segment". Each segment/message is limited to160 characters.
For Example, If a Property writes a SMS that is 161 to 320 characters, then it will be counted as 2 Segments/messages, 321 to 480 characters = 3 segments/messages,etc., and will be billed accordingly.
BookingCenter allows a Property to pay a minimum fee of $30/mo and receive up to 500 "segments" of SMS messages to North American (USA, Canada, and Mexico), 300 segments to Western European and Australian mobile numbers. Any segment to a mobile number to a country outside of these will be billed at $.10 /Segment.
