The Kiosk Self Check-in approach is a series of services that differs from Mobile Self Check-in

The Kiosk Agent

This is a special Agent that is setup specifically for Kiosks. These Agents have unique characteristics to control Kiosk configuration and manage the Booking process from a Kiosk (optional, if you offer the ability to book via your Kiosk).

  • Allocate different rates/avail to the 'BookNow' from your Kiosks
  • Observe how different XCL and Dev messages are presented when  'BookNow' from your Kiosks
  • Turn on/off one at a time to see process flow.  The key here is to see if your 'Letter' set as Kiosk Letters in Letters area, and set on your Kiosk Agent for PON and OFF state, is actually displayed. Also, confirm the "Kiosk Confirmation Message" is working and showing the correct Letter.
  • See how the values from the Agent (such as phone number, payment policy, default language, deposit policy, ) come from the Agent and others from the Site (such as Logo image)

Kiosk Booking Agents

These are local agents to enable an Online Booking and then Check-in to Guests.  There are two types supported:

  1. A 'rate suppress agent' - described here.
  2. Standard Agent - an Agent that tracks the booking made via the Kiosk and can offer its own unique Deposit and Cancellation policy that is supported when checking in, so that your Kiosk can offer numerous 'Deposit and Cancellation' policies based on where the booking originated from: PMS, website, OTA, or a Kiosk.

Authenticating Booking in Kiosk:

Each 'welcome page' that BookingCenter supports has an option for a Guest to 'check in' via authenticating themself and finding their Booking(s).

If there is a single booking found:

If there are multiple bookings found:

If there is no booking found: then we present a Failure to Authenticate message "Sorry! We we not able to find you in our system."
