Use the Edit Tab to modify the Arrival and Departure Dates, Room Type and Rates of an Individual Booking. This includes Confirmed, Unconfirmed and Active Bookings. To edit a Group Booking, See Group Booking Details

The Edit Tab displays the Room Type Grid for the booking dates with the allocated Room Type highlighted in blue. This information also appears in the Booking Header in Room Type. See example below.

Note that only the Room Type and Rates are managed in the Edit Tab. The Room Assignment is made in the Room Assignment Tab. Once a Room Type is selected, then a Room needs to be assigned in the Room Assignment Tab.

To Edit a booking, first select or deselect room type or booking dates. Any time you make changes to the Room Type information with date changes, the system will prompt you to "get new rate".

See details on how to perform the following functions in the Edit Tab:

This example of a confirmed booking, displays a booking for the Queen with a view for Nov. 2-Nov.7.There are no additional guests attached to this booking.

The summary displays the room type and room assignment details with Rates. The total cost of the Room Rent charges are $375.

  • Once you have finished click save. If you have added or changed the date range of the booking, lick save and go to the Room Assignment Tab to

After you have modified the booking, be sure to click Save for the changes to take effect.

Anytime you make any changes on the edit screen you will be prompted to "get new rates" via two methods. Get new rates will pull new rates for all days. Get new rates for new booking days will only query for rate values for newly added days. The second option is helpful when

extending a booking and you do not wish to modify already defined rates. and clicked SAVE, you will see the new information appear in the Room Summary list at the bottom of the window.

Note: If the user changes the number of guests, room type or rate plan on this screen. The system automatically prompts you to refresh the rates when any change that may affect the rate occurs. as shown below. Click Get New Rates and choose a Rate Plan

Bookings using Manual rates will have a third option, the fill arrow. This fill arrow is only available when using a manual rate and when clicked will take the defined value and apply it to all days below.
In the example shown on the right if we simply wanted all days to be $125 we could click on the blue arrow next to the top $125 value and it would fill in all days below at $125. Likewise if we wanted all nights to be $75, we could change the first night to $75 and then use the fill arrow to propagate those changes to the rest of the days (as shown in second example, bottom right).
This allows properties that have long term stays to easily add weeks or months at a time onto bookings, without having to re-enter the manual rate for every new day of the booking.
