In this step, you will enter your Room Types and assign the corresponding default Rate Plans you just created in the previous step. Think about how you group Rooms by “type” with basic descriptions, bed count and max guest count. A Room Type is a group of similarly priced Rooms which have a common description like Queen, or represent a unique room like Romance Suite. Add as many Room Types as needed. To see the Room Types you have created, click on “View Room Types”. If you need to add another Rate Plan, go back to “Rates”. When you are finished, go to the next step to set up the Rooms associated with each Room Type. The First Step will be to organize a sales strategy. A Room Type is a marketing package; it has a description, picture, maximum guest capacity and rate. A Room Type may be a common description for a number of Rooms like Queen, Single, King, Suite . Or, it may represent a single unique room such as Romance Suite. Each Room Type will have an inventory of Rooms available which will be added in the next step, Rooms. |
