To authorize a credit card for a higher amount midway through a stay, go to the Guest Data Page for that guest, and then select "Manage Credit Cards" button to bring up the card detail page for the 'Guarantee' card authorizes at check in. Some credit cards (usually American Express, Discover, and Diners Club) do not allow incremental authorizations.
