Yield Management Including OOO Rooms (Yes/No) - Under Booking Engine Settings, you can set if you would like Yield Management calculations to either include or exclude OOO Rooms
- Yield Management Inc OOO = Yes
- MyPMS will include OOO in both number of booked rooms and number of total rooms.
- If a room is in OOO status, it will be included in the yield management calculations.
- This is the default setting, and assumes that OOO rooms are short-term events and shouldn't affect yield analysis.
- Yield Management Inc OOO = No
- MyPMS will exclude OOO in both booked rooms and number of rooms.
- For example, if a room is in OOO status, it will NOT be included in the yield management calculations.
- This setting is useful for seasonal properties who place rooms OOO for long periods (such as closing a wing of a hotel in winter) and want the OOO rooms to debit from 'total occupancy' to make a seasonally-adjusted calculation. For example, if a property has 20 rooms, and they place 10 rooms OOO, during that time the 'Toal number of rooms' to calculate as 100% potential occupancy would be 10.
- Note that rooms set to Publish Online = No and Rooms set to Ignore on Occupancy Report will not be included in any yield management calculations
